Kurt Donald Cobain was born on Febuary 20th, 1967. In his childhood, his parents were divorced and he ended up living with one relative or another. Kurt dropped out of high school and in his late teens he left home. In 1985 he was briefly working jobs for the YMCA as a lifeguard. But along with other early jobs, none of them lasted long. That same year fate took him in her arms and he met Chris Novoselic. When Kurt first played with Chris in 1987, they decided to form a band. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

In the beginning of 1988 they had a ten-song demo with Dale Crover playing drums. After releasing their first album, Bleach, in 1989, they found a better drummer, Dave Grohl. After Nevermind was released in 1991, Nirvana were everywhere. They were on covers of every major magazine. Meantime Kurt started spending time with his girlfriend, Courtney Love. He felt that spending a lot of time with Courtney was essential to his sanity. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

In the spring of 1992 Kurt checked into rehab to kill his heroin addiction. | On February 24, 1992 Kurt and Courtney were married. While she wore a dress, he wore his pyjamas. On August 18, 1992, Frances Bean Cobain was born in Los Angeles. Ten days after becoming a father, Kurt played the UK reading festival. In September the band played at the MTV Music Awards and received two awards, Best Alternative video for 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', and best new artist. On the morning of April 8,1994, and electrician arrived at Kurt's house in Seattle and spotted what he thought was a mannequin lying on the floor of a small greenhouse. With closer examiniation, he realized it was the body of a man with a shotgun on his chest. The police arrived and the body, dressed in jeans, shirt and Converse trainers, was removed for identification. Fingerprints confirmed that it was Kurt Cobain. He left a suicide note, a wife and daughter, and millions of fans who will not let go and never forget him. We love you, man.....
